The final Communique of the G7 in Taormina – May 26-27, 2017 – contains a direct reference to the “W7 Forum on Inequality and Sustainable Growth”, which held, in cooperation with the Aspen Initiative for Europe, a high level meeting in Rome on April 7-8, 2017, entitled “Starting from Girls” (on the occasion of the Italian Government’s G7 Presidency, in partnership with WE-Women Empower the World and Valore D).
It is a first tangible result of the ongoing efforts to address some of the issues of gender inequality also in the context of Aspen Initiative for Europe.
