The international conference “The US and Europe in the age of uncertainty” organized by Aspen Institute Italia, in cooperation with Aspen Initiative for Europe on June 5 in Washington, DC, featured an intervention by US Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross. His remarks touched upon key aspects of the Trump administration’s trade policy, with a special emphasis on relations with Europe and prospects for future trade deals. Participants around the table had a chance to ask questions and comment on Secretary Ross’ remarks. In the same session Carlo Calenda, Italy’s Minister for Economic Development, delivered a special address form Rome on European perspectives.
